The route of expedition included Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The expedition will end in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The expedition was aimed at familiarizing foreign public with achievement of Russia in various areas, its heritage, culture and potential.
After the expedition, it is planned to issue a photo book and documentary film dedicated to life of Russian in the CIS.
On 27 June 2013, the expedition arrived in Uzbekistan and visited to such cities as Nukus, Urgench, Khiva, Bukhara, Navoi, Samarkand, Termez, Shahrisabz and Denau.
Head of the office of Russian Cooperation Center in Uzbekistan Valeriy Kayer welcomed the expedition in Bukhara and accompanied them till Samarkand.
Vlad Manin was welcomed by representatives of Russian Culture Centers in Uzbekistan. Vlad Manin noted that the Russian met him with warm reception and expressed interest in the expedition.
