Extraordinary Meeting of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry Held in Budapest

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, took part in an extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry, held in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.

The meeting was convened on the occasion of a significant and historic development — the admission of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a full member of the Union.

In his remarks, Davron Vakhabov congratulated Hungarian Chamber President László Parragh and emphasized that Hungary’s accession would not only broaden the Union’s geographic reach but also help strengthen economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Europe and the Turkic world.

During the session, it was proposed to hold the next meeting of the Uzbek-Hungarian Business Council in September, creating a platform for discussing new joint projects and investment opportunities between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

An additional initiative was announced to organize a Women Entrepreneurs Forum in Samarkand this August. The forum aims to unite active female business leaders from Turkic states and Hungary, promote the exchange of experience, and support economic reforms based on gender equality.

An agreement was also reached to hold a dedicated meeting with major exporters to explore potential joint investment and trade projects across the Turkic region and the Middle East.

The meeting in Budapest highlighted the ongoing strengthening of friendly ties, mutual trust, and strategic partnership between the Turkic states and Hungary.
