Fire extinguished at plastic pipe factory in Tashkent, no casualties reported

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Emergency Situations has released an official statement regarding a fire that occurred today in the Yakkasaray district of the capital.

According to the ministry, a report of a fire in a plastic pipe production workshop on Kushbegi Street was received by the Emergency Situations Ministry at 12:40 on 11 September.

Firefighting teams arrived on the scene within six minutes. The fire was contained by 13:08 and fully extinguished by 13:15.

Preliminary reports indicate that no one was injured in the incident.

The Minister of Emergency Situations, along with the head of the Tashkent City Emergency Department, arrived at the site.

The incident is under investigation, and the causes of the fire are being clarified, according to the Ministry’s press service.
