First Container Train of JSC “Uztemiryo‘lkonteyner” Departs on Tashkent–Altynkol Route
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC “Uztemiryo‘lkonteyner” has sent its first container train with its own wagons along the Tashkent–Altynkol (Kazakhstan) route.
This represents an important step in implementing the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 27 January 2025, No. PP‑28, aimed at the widespread adoption of multimodal transportation and increasing the share of national transport operators operating at the 3PL level and above.
The train consists of 57 fitted platforms owned by JSC “Uzbekiston Temir Yo‘llari” and is operated by JSC “Uztemiryo‘lkonteyner.” Previously, Kazakh wagons were used on this route. The block train, carrying 57 containers of consolidated cargo, will cover a distance of 1,300 km in 2 days.
Under cooperation with the Kazakh company JSC “Kedentransservice,” return loading of wagons on the Altynkol–Tashkent route is planned, which will help optimize logistics flows.
JSC “Uztemiryo‘lkonteyner” plans to further expand its wagon fleet, ensure efficient use of multimodal transport, and reduce transportation costs on export-import routes, creating more favorable conditions for logistics service users.
