First Flight Carrying Returning Hajj Pilgrims Arrives in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 June at 17:30 Tashkent time, the first flight carrying Uzbek pilgrims returning from Hajj landed at the capital’s international airport. Flight HY-5304, operated by Uzbekistan Airways, arrived from Jeddah with 245 passengers on board.
In the newly renovated arrivals area of Tashkent Airport, the pilgrims were warmly greeted by their families and loved ones. For those arriving from other regions, organized transfers have been arranged — special buses are stationed along the access road to the terminal to transport the groups.
Between 12 and 30 June, a total of 62 flights are scheduled from Jeddah to various cities across Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, Namangan, Karshi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, and Nukus. Through these flights, 15,150 pilgrims who have completed the Hajj rituals will return home.
