Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The discussion focused on the steady advancement of the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, which continues to develop across all key areas.
The two ministers reviewed a packed upcoming bilateral agenda, including high- and top-level meetings and participation in a range of bilateral and multilateral events — notably the upcoming ministerial conference of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
They also exchanged views on current regional developments. Against the backdrop of rising tensions in the Israel–Iran conflict, both sides stressed the importance of preserving peace, stability, and constructive engagement in the region.
