Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — German sports medicine specialist Simon Brosseter, with over 20 years of experience in treating congenital orthopedic conditions and musculoskeletal disorders, has paid a working visit to Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the expert reviewed the activities of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine (RSPCSM), and the overall development of sports medicine in the country.

A meeting was held with Minister of Sports Adkham Ikramov, where the parties discussed the experiences of Uzbekistan and Germany in sports medicine, as well as prospects for cooperation. Mr. Brosseter also visited the Olympic Village under construction in the capital, where he was presented with plans for establishing a State Center for Sports Medicine and a modern scientific and practical complex.

RSPCSM Director Kamol Sirojitdinov presented the main areas of the Center’s work, highlighting efforts to improve athletes’ health and enhance medical services. Meetings with NOC and RSPCSM staff addressed advanced international practices, current challenges in the sector, and potential solutions.

Simon Brosseter also visited the Uzbekistan Football Association, where he met with the national team’s medical staff to discuss athlete recovery methods and monitoring of physical condition.
