Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 August 2025, the Government of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. 515, approving regulations on providing subsidies to cover drinking water supply expenses for certain categories of families in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Region.

The regulation governs the provision of subsidies to families included in the Register of Low-Income Families for costs related to drilling artesian wells, as well as purchasing and installing water pumps and drinking water filters. The subsidy covers 90% of the expenses, but does not exceed 30 times the Basic Estimated Value (BEV).

These services are provided by entrepreneurs registered in the Register of Business Entities supplying clean drinking water, through the Unified National Social Protection System.

An adult family member of the subsidy recipient, or their legal representative, can register in the system via “Inson” centers or a social worker in the mahalla. The center staff or social worker submits the registration request on behalf of the recipient.

The entrepreneur then visits the family’s residence within the prescribed timeframe to drill the artesian well and install the water pump with a filter.

Decisions on granting or denying the subsidy are automatically communicated to the recipient by the Working Group through the Unified National Social Protection System.
