Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, khokim of Ferghana Region, held a meeting at the Vodil Reception House with a delegation of officials and business representatives from Shunyi District of Beijing, People's Republic of China.

The discussions focused on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening ties in the fields of economy, industry, investment, and information technology.

It was noted that the friendly relations and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China continue to grow, with increasing interregional cooperation and the implementation of numerous promising joint projects.

During the meeting, the economic and investment potential of the Ferghana region was presented, along with the favorable conditions being created for doing business. In turn, the Chinese side proposed establishing cooperation between Ferghana and Shunyi in various sectors. Particular emphasis was placed on areas such as automotive manufacturing, electrical engineering, industry, IT, and tourism, which offer strong potential for investment projects involving companies from both sides.

The regional governor expressed full support for the initiatives and highlighted that introducing advanced expertise, technologies, and joint projects under interregional cooperation would yield tangible results.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a cooperation roadmap, establish working groups, and identify specific steps to deepen their partnership.

Additionally, contracts totaling US$20 million were signed between Innotech Solutions, a resident company of Uzbekistan’s IT Park, and the People’s Government of Mapo Town in Shunyi District. The agreements involve the implementation and use of a proprietary software solution developed by Innotech Solutions.
