Interview-Based Admission Procedure Approved for Lyceum Graduates of TSUL Applying to Law Programs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new procedure has been established for the admission of gifted graduates of the academic lyceums affiliated with Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) into undergraduate programs in the field of jurisprudence — based on interviews, without the need to take standard entrance tests.

This temporary regulation was approved by Resolution No. 374 of the Cabinet of Ministers, dated June 18, 2025.

The document applies to students who were admitted to TSUL's academic lyceums in the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years.

Graduates who wish to apply under the new procedure must submit an application to a special admissions commission by June 20, requesting a recommendation for undergraduate admission based on interview results.

Applicants must attach the following documents:

A national or international certificate confirming foreign language proficiency;

Documents reflecting the student’s personal achievements and active participation in lyceum activities.

The interview is conducted annually and must be completed by July 1. Each candidate is evaluated on a 100-point scale.

The minimum passing score is 56% of the total possible points. Applicants who fail to appear for the interview or do not meet the minimum score requirement will not be eligible for admission.

The interview results remain valid for two years.

Based on the commission’s recommendations and the interview outcomes, university rectors must issue admission orders for recommended candidates no later than August 10 of each year.
