“Korea – Central Asia” Summit to Take Place in South Korea in 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The “Korea – Central Asia” Summit is scheduled for 2026 and will be held in the Republic of Korea.
This was stated in a congratulatory letter from President of South Korea Lee Jae Myung to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.
In his letter, Lee Jae Myung extended sincere congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan on their national holiday and noted that during a phone conversation on July 24 of this year, both sides reaffirmed their firm commitment to continue developing bilateral relations.
The President of South Korea emphasized that the long-standing mutual understanding and strong trust between the two countries reinforce the status of their cooperation as a “Special Strategic Partnership,” and that active exchanges further strengthen the friendship between the peoples.
Lee Jae Myung also expressed his readiness to personally meet with the President of Uzbekistan during the “Korea–Central Asia” Summit in 2026 and at other international platforms to hold constructive dialogue on developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
He wished Uzbekistan peace and sustainable development, the President robust health, and the people of the country happiness and well-being.
