Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As a result of an operation carried out by the State Security Service Directorate of Bukhara Region in cooperation with the Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office, a search was conducted in the Gijduvan district at the residence of a previously convicted citizen born in 1985. The search was conducted in the presence of witnesses.
During the operation, large quantities of foreign-manufactured pharmaceutical products were discovered and seized. The individual had no documents confirming the goods had passed customs clearance. The confiscated items included: 34,050 packs of "KETO COFFEE MIX SLIM COFFEE", 2,790 of "SLT SLIM LUX COFFEE", 3,000 of "HOODIA CACTUS SLIMMING COFFEE", 720 of "SLIM GREEN COFFEE", 5,280 of "NATURE COMPLEX LK FAT BURNING", 1,000 of "Lao Se Lon", 12,132 of "FIT90 FAT BURNER", 13,392 of "Reduxin Light", 23,292 of "Qingzhishou PLUS", along with other pharmaceutical products.
According to an expert assessment by the State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety”, the seized substances were found to contain sibutramine — a substance classified as potent under Resolution No. 818 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2019) “On Regulating the Circulation of Potent Substances in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
A criminal case has been opened against the individual under Part 5 of Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As the investigation continues, authorities are taking measures to identify the supply channels through which these substances entered the country.
