Mirziyoyev and Aliyev Jointly Open New Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the state visit of Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Azerbaijan, the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku was solemnly inaugurated.
The event was attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan. The heads of state cut a symbolic ribbon, marking the official opening of the new diplomatic mission.
During the visit, the leaders familiarized themselves with the facilities created to ensure the effective work of diplomats aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.
The embassy halls were named after various regions of Uzbekistan, and President Mirziyoyev proposed naming one of them after Karabakh, symbolizing the friendship and solidarity between the peoples of both nations.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the heads of state left commemorative entries with warm wishes in the Embassy’s Book of Honor.
