Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 June 2025, the total volume of mortgage loans issued by commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 5.57 trillion Uzbek soums, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The most active lenders in the mortgage sector were the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity, which issued 936.2 billion soums, Ipoteka-Bank with 930.5 billion soums, and Agrobank with 752.9 billion soums. Collectively, these three banks disbursed approximately 2.62 trillion soums in mortgage financing.

At the other end of the spectrum, the least active banks in mortgage lending included Trustbank, which issued just 26.3 billion soums, Asia Alliance Bank with 30.9 billion soums, and Asakabank with 52.1 billion soums.

In terms of gender distribution, men received 62% of total mortgage financing — equivalent to 3.5 trillion soums — while women accounted for 38%, or approximately 2.07 trillion soums.
