Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A shipment of kiwi from Uzbekistan weighing 19.7 tons has arrived in the Astrakhan region, according to the Rosselkhoznadzor office for the Rostov, Volgograd, and Astrakhan regions and the Republic of Kalmykia.

Inspection took place at the Astrakhan seaport from 13 to 18 August. Specialists collected samples to check the phytosanitary condition of the produce and sent them to an accredited laboratory. The tests confirmed that no quarantine pests were present in the batch of kiwi.

A certificate of inspection was issued to the recipient’s representative, after which the shipment was forwarded to its destination.
