Office of Russia’s Penza Region to be opened in Tashkent Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Mutually beneficial and fruitful relations between Tashkent Region and the Russian Federation continue to develop steadily and dynamically, as evidenced by the growing number of trade and other representative offices operating in both countries.
Today, Tashkent Region Hokim Zoyir Mirzaev met with Vladislav Zhukov, representative of the newly established office of Russia’s Penza Region in Tashkent Region. The parties discussed ways to achieve practical results in bilateral trade and economic cooperation, agriculture, industrial production, education, and metallurgy through the effective work of the office.
Penza Region is known for its intensive development in the industrial, manufacturing, and metallurgical sectors.
The meeting also addressed joint projects, including cooperation between local furniture producers, manufacturing of railway barrier gates for strategic facilities, and production of tank containers for fuel and other specialized liquids.
In addition, opportunities to expand exports of agricultural and industrial products from Tashkent Region to Penza were explored.
Special attention was given to training qualified IT specialists. As part of an exchange program, students from Tashkent Region universities will undergo professional development at Penza State Technological University in September this year.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to ensure more effective operations of the office, intensify bilateral cooperation, and develop specific initiatives. Vladislav Zhukov also invited a Tashkent Region delegation to make an official visit to Penza Region.
