Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As a result of a joint special operation conducted by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Akhangaran, Tashkent region, five members of an organized drug trafficking group were detained. The suspects had rented accommodation in the Yangihayot district of the capital and were distributing synthetic drugs using the Telegram messenger app.

According to the investigation, the detainees were transporting 400 grams of the synthetic drug “Alpha-PVP,” packaged in 0.3-gram doses, with the intent to distribute it to clients in the Andijan region.

Based on their testimonies, law enforcement officers discovered and seized 53 hidden caches containing similar doses of “Alpha-PVP” in Andijan region.

The operation continued in the Yangihayot district, where authorities apprehended the operator of the drug marketplace — a resident of Izboskan district in Andijan region, born in 2003.
