The roundtables are aimed at discussing organizational and economic issues of developing women entrepreneurship in the regions, as well as developing concrete measures on developing women entrepreneurship in rural areas.

The events will be attended by grant receives and new participants of the projects of Mehr Nuri Foundation, representatives of regional Women’s Committees, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Forum of Social Responsible Citizens of Uzbekistan, Women’s Business Association, etc.

The roundtables will consider experience of NGOs in developing women entrepreneurship, opportunities and preference of the law “On family entrepreneurship”, role of self-governing bodies in developing family businesses, legal framework for development of women’s entrepreneurship, and other issues.

From 1 March to 1 May 2013, Mehr Nuri Foundation received documents for annual programme “Grants on developing family entrepreneurship activities”. The foundation received 500 applications from all regions of Uzbekistan. The winners will receive 1.5 million soums to develop their business activities. The foundation organized 1,200 master classes for women and familiarized with grant programme and learnt to write business plans.
