Pharmaceutical Development Agency and UNDP Discuss New Areas of Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency hosted a meeting between its Director, Abdulla Azizov, and representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), during which the parties discussed current and future directions of cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
The talks focused on healthcare system governance, global and local challenges and opportunities, the development of domestic pharmaceutical production, improvements to regulatory frameworks, the introduction of digital solutions, and the provision of technical support.
Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing effective and sustainable healthcare governance models, as well as the need to develop the pharmaceutical sector in line with international norms and standards.
UNDP representatives expressed their readiness to support the enhancement of local production capacity and expand cooperation with leading global pharmaceutical hubs.
