Tashkent, Kashkadarya region lead on number of registered enterprises
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Largest number of enterprises and organizations were registered in Tashkent city and Tashkent region in January-September 2010, according to the report of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

About 5,693 and 2,594 enterprises and organizations (without farms) were registered in Tashkent city and Tashkent region respectively in the reporting period. Lowest number of enterprises and organizations were recorded in Navoi (865) and Syrdarya (1,169) regions.

In Janary-September 2010, about 30,161 new enterprises and organizations were created in Uzbekistan.

Kashkadarya region (3,015), Tashkent city (2,863) and Bukhara region (2,443) led on number of liquidated enterprises in Uzbekistan in the reporting period.

Lowest number of enterprises was closed in Jizzakh region (391), Syrdarya region (337) and Navoi region (569). About 17,771 enterprises were liquidated in the reporting period in the country.

As of 1 October 2010, 282,882 enterprises and organizations are registered in Uzbekistan, of which 46,660 operate in Kashkadarya region, 43,813 in Tashkent city and 24,358 in Ferghana region.

Syrdarya and Navoi regions have the lowest number of registered enterprises – 7,926 and 8,120 respectively.
