Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 January 2020, the construction site of the GTL plant in Uzbekistan was visited by representatives of the Reconstruction and Development Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a delegation of Russian project creditors, consisting of Gazprombank, Roseximbank and the Russian Export Insurance Agency loans and investments (EXIAR) - which are one of the key partners of the project.
During the visit, representatives of Uzbekistan GTL presented the current status of the project, the progress of construction and installation work, and discussed issues of further mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of the investment project "Production of synthetic liquid fuels based on purified methane of the Shurtan MCC."
The delegation also met with representatives of the TechnipFMC project management consultant.
9 thousand people, of which more than 7.5 thousand are involved in construction and installation works. At the construction site, 905 units of construction and special equipment were mobilized. Work continues at an active pace.
In total, 901 sets of 1,045 (or 86% of the total) technological equipment were delivered to the construction site, of which about 600 sets were already installed in the technological zone (with a total weight of more than 31 thousand tons).
Gazprombank, Roseximbank, EXIAR, as well as the Reconstruction and Development Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan participate in the financing of the investment project “Synthetic liquid fuel production based on purified methane of the Shurtan Mining and Chemical Combine” (UzGTL / Oltin Yo’l GTL project).
The program of the visit of the Russian delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC at which the parties will discuss further mutually beneficial cooperation between the companies.
