Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Commercial banks of Uzbekistan in January-September 2022 provided retail loans in the amount of 44.9 trillion. soums. This was reported by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

As of 1 October 2022, 25% of the total loan portfolio of banks (the total loan portfolio is 363 trillion soums) is accounted for by retail loans.

The balance of retail loans in the total loan portfolio of banks increased by 30% or 21 trillion soums compared to the beginning of 2022

The growth of retail loans is due to the growth of auto loans in the amount of 7.9 trillion soums, mortgage loans for 7.5 trillion soums, microloans for 3.8 trillion soums, loans to support family businesses 2 trillion soums, as well as a decrease in consumer loans by 304 billion soums.
