Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 December 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies discussed topical issues of the Uzbek-Norwegian agenda.

Mutual interest in further strengthening the political dialogue was confirmed. In this context, the importance of organizing mutual visits at various levels and formats, holding the next round of inter-MFA political consultations was noted.

Proposals were considered to intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation, deepen parliamentary ties, expand the legal framework of bilateral relations.

An exchange of views also took place on certain issues of a regional and international character, in particular the current situation in Afghanistan.
