Salaries and pensions in Uzbekistan to increase from 1 December

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, starting from 1 December 2023, salaries, pensions and benefits will increase by an average of 7%.

On 17 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to increase wages for employees of budgetary organizations by an average of 7%.

From 1 December, the basic amount for calculating pensions will be 372,000 soums (currently 347,000 soums).

At the same time, the minimum old-age pension will increase from 677,000 soums to 725,000 soums. The minimum wage will be 1 million 50 thousand soums (980,000 soums).

The basic estimated value (BEV) will increase from 330,000 soums to 340,000 soums (an increase of 3%). Note that the amounts of contracts, fines, duties, etc. are tied to the BEV.

Disability pensions for incomplete work experience are increased from 747,000 to 800,000  soums.

The amount of disability benefits paid to disabled citizens and benefits to persons with disabilities since childhood will also increase from 747,000 soums to 800,000 soums.

The minimum amount of pensions, including bonuses, for persons who became disabled as a result of the war of 1941-1945, and its participants, as well as former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and persons who worked during the siege of the city of Leningrad, will be 3.52 million soums (currently 3.29 million).

The amount of old-age pensions for those receiving pensions in the amount of the established minimum age pension will be 800,000 soums (747,000 soums), the amount of benefits for elderly citizens who do not have the required work experience is 608,000 soums (535,000 soums).

The minimum amount of an old-age pension for incomplete work experience, taking into account additional payments, as well as the size of benefits for the legal representative of a child caring for a disabled child under 18 years of age who needs outside care will be 608,000 soums (535,000 soums).

The amount of benefit for one disabled family member of the recipient of the survivor's benefit was 608,000 soums, with the addition of 212,000 soums (198,000 soums) for each additional disabled family member.

The minimum pension for one disabled family member of a survivor's pension recipient increased from 535,000 soums to 608,000 soums with a pension paid to each subsequent disabled family member in accordance with the current procedure.
