President of Uzbekistan Awarded Jordan’s Highest Honor – the “Al-Nahda” Order

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the state visit of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan to Uzbekistan, a solemn ceremony was held in which President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan was awarded the Jordanian Order of “Al-Nahda” (“Renaissance”), the country’s highest state honor. The award was personally presented to the Uzbek President by the King.

“I accept this honor with great pride as a deserved recognition of our joint efforts to expand multifaceted cooperation, and as a symbol of friendship and respect to the people of Uzbekistan, who are laying the foundations of the Third Renaissance,” President Mirziyoyev said.

Following this historic visit, relations between Uzbekistan and Jordan have reached a new level of strategic partnership. The leaders agreed on comprehensive development of cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, transport, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the significant contribution of King Abdullah II to Jordan’s rapid development, the country’s peaceful foreign policy, and the strengthening of its international standing.

He noted that the high distinction will hold a worthy place as a symbol of strong friendship between the peoples of the two countries. Concluding the ceremony, the President once again expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah II for the honor and wished peace and prosperity to the people of Jordan.
