Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 August 2025, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for an official visit to the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

According to the visit schedule, on 31 August–1 September in Tianjin, the Head of State will participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the “SCO Plus” format meeting.

The agenda includes discussions on key issues of further developing multifaceted cooperation within the SCO, prioritizing areas of collaboration, and improving the organization’s activities.

The meeting is expected to result in the adoption of the Tianjin Declaration, along with several joint documents and decisions.

On 2 September in Beijing, President Mirziyoyev will hold talks with President Xi Jinping, as well as meetings with heads of foreign delegations and representatives of China’s business community.

On 3 September, the Head of State will participate in ceremonial events commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War.
