Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Samarkand, the project for the construction of the “Suv Bag‘rida” (“Samarkand Riviera”) tourist complex was presented.

The event was attended by acting Hokim of Samarkand Region Adiz Boboev and relevant officials.

According to the press service of the hokimiat, the complex will become one of the region’s key tourist destinations, featuring a 24-hour gastronomic street, a water park, an aquarium, green zones, children’s play areas, and other recreational and entertainment facilities.

Adiz Boboev emphasized the importance of expanding the range of tourism services and highlighted the need to create jobs in the sector, noting the socio-economic impact of tourism development on the region.

Additionally, a concept for Samarkand’s city design code was presented, aimed at creating a unified visual and architectural style. The project is expected to become part of the city’s brand, boosting tourist flows and supporting marketing strategies in the tourism sector.

The implementation of these initiatives is anticipated to strengthen Samarkand’s position as one of the country’s leading tourist centers and create additional opportunities for regional investment development.
