Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 June, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis hosted a meeting between Kutbiddin Burkhanov, Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security, and David Kotaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the steady development of Uzbek-Georgian relations was emphasized, particularly the deepening of interparliamentary cooperation. It was noted that regular contacts between the legislative bodies of both countries contribute to expanding practical collaboration across various fields.

Special attention was given to the work of parliamentary friendship groups. In the context of strengthening interparliamentary ties, the importance of revitalizing the activities of these groups was underscored, including the organization of online meetings, reciprocal visits, and the exchange of legislative experience.
