Several International Flights Diverted to Tashkent After Iranian Airspace Closure

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the early hours of 13 June, several international flights were forced to reroute and make unscheduled landings at Tashkent International Airport due to the temporary closure of Iranian airspace. The information was confirmed by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.

According to the provided data, Uzbekistan Airways flight HY5343, operating the Tashkent–Jeddah route, landed at 06:18. The aircraft was not carrying passengers at the time.

At 06:37, Fly Dubai flight FZ1942, en route from Tashkent to Dubai, also landed in Tashkent. All passengers from this flight have been temporarily accommodated in the terminal building.

At 07:46, Air Cairo flight SM882, flying from Almaty to Sharm El-Sheikh, was forced to land in Tashkent. Just minutes later, at 07:57, Qatar Airways flight QR8985, traveling from Seoul to Doha, also touched down at the airport.

In addition, the departure of Centrum Air flight C63341, scheduled to operate from Tashkent to Doha, was delayed. The aircraft remains at the airport, and passengers have been temporarily housed inside the terminal.
