Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of the Fergana Region, held a meeting with representatives of the Chinese company Shandong Oubiao Information Technology Co., Ltd.

During the talks, the parties discussed a project focused on introducing intelligent technologies into water resource management within the agricultural sector. This initiative stems from agreements reached during the regional delegation’s visit to China in April of this year.

Particular emphasis was placed on the digital management of water systems, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the use of modern fertilizers in agriculture. Discussions included the development of an integrated system covering all stages — from the production of necessary equipment to the efficient and targeted distribution of water — leveraging a scientific approach and the capabilities of leading Chinese technology firms.

The regional governor highlighted the project’s importance for the rational use of water resources and improving agricultural productivity. He stressed the need to accelerate the implementation process and expressed full support for the proposed initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed on specific steps to begin executing the project.
