Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ten children who had been left without parental care have been repatriated from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, according to the National Agency for Social Protection of Uzbekistan.

A plane carrying the young compatriots arrived at Tashkent International Airport from Almaty, with the children accompanied by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan during the flight.

To ensure a swift and safe return, officials from Uzbekistan’s consulate in Kazakhstan completed all the necessary documentation.

The children have been temporarily placed at the Center for Social and Legal Assistance for Minors under the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs. In the coming days, eight of them will be sent to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where they will be reunited with prepared family members and close relatives through the support of Inson social service centers.

According to statistical data, 31 children have been repatriated to Uzbekistan from abroad over the past three months, marking a 2.5-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, preparations are underway for the repatriation of another group of more than 10 children from Saint Petersburg in the near future.
