Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 May, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and His Excellency Yu Jiun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan.

The main focus of the talks was the preparation for the Second Interregional Uzbekistan-China Forum, as well as the upcoming Second Summit of Heads of State in the format “Central Asia — China.”

During the meeting, the parties reviewed key issues related to the forthcoming events, discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, and summarized the results of the joint preparatory work carried out.

Special attention was given to the coordination of the final provisions of documents expected to be signed at the Summit.

The discussion involved the “Central Asia — China” Action Plan aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation, as well as Memorandums of Understanding designed to deepen collaboration in the areas of seamless trade and strengthening investment partnerships in the “green” minerals sector.
