Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan officially awarded certificates granting the status of “Tourist Village” to the residents of the villages of Kaynar and Bashir, located in the Kitab district of the Kashkadarya region.

The certificate presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee, regional and district hokimiyats, tourism industry professionals, as well as local community activists and media representatives. Among the guests were tour operators, travel agents, and owners of hotels, hostels, and guesthouses involved in the development of domestic tourism.

The event featured an exhibition of traditional handicrafts created by local artisans, accompanied by a tasting of Uzbek national cuisine. The guests showed great interest in performances by folklore ensembles and artists from the Kitab district cultural department. Musical numbers, traditional dances, and songs added vibrant color to the celebration and highlighted the region’s rich cultural heritage.
