Tianjin Rail Transit Group expresses interest in Uzbekistan’s railway development projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jasurbek Choriev held talks with Yun’kan Ma, Deputy General Director of China’s Tianjin Rail Transit Group.
The meeting focused on prospects for cooperation in the development of the metro and railway transport.
The Chinese side expressed interest in participating in projects for the reconstruction of existing and construction of new metro lines, as well as in the implementation of the new Tashkent–Samarkand railway line project, stating its readiness to present proposals after a detailed review of these initiatives.
Jasurbek Choriev informed his counterpart about major infrastructure projects, including the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway line and the Trans-Afghan corridor.
He stressed Uzbekistan’s strong interest in cooperation on financing these projects, introducing advanced technologies, and applying innovative solutions.
