Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to data from the National Statistics Committee, 17,400 Italian citizens visited Uzbekistan between January and May 2025 for various purposes. This figure represents an increase of 2,100 people, or 13.5%, compared to the same period of last year.

The primary purpose of these visits remained tourism, with 16,410 Italians arriving to travel. Additionally, 530 people visited family members, 400 came on business trips, and 43 arrived for educational purposes.

The growth in visitor numbers reflects a steady interest from Italian tourists and the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

Active promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the European market, improvements in visa policies, and the development of tourism infrastructure continue to contribute to the rising number of international visitors.
