UzAuto Motors Powertrain Receives Prestigious General Motors Award
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — UzAuto Motors Powertrain has been awarded a prestigious recognition from General Motors, highlighting the company’s high production standards and its important role in the international supply chain.
The award ceremony took place in the presence of UzAuto Motors Powertrain CEO Saidazim Gulyamov, who received the honor from Oscar Quintanilla, Director of the GM Ramos GPS plant in Mexico, on behalf of the entire General Motors Ramos team.
In its official message, General Motors leadership emphasized that the Uzbek plant earned this recognition due to its stable production processes and delivery of exceptionally high-quality components. Special attention was given to the First Time Quality (FTQ) indicator, which exceeded 97.5 percent.
Commenting on the award, Saidazim Gulyamov stressed that this achievement was the result of the dedication and hard work of the entire team. He noted that the enterprise takes pride in being part of the global General Motors production network and in contributing to the development of the international automotive industry. He added that the professionalism of employees and their responsible approach to every stage of production were the key drivers of success. Gulyamov also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards and further strengthening its partnership with General Motors.
It should be recalled that in December 2024, UzAuto Motors Powertrain began exporting cylinder blocks for CSS Prime engine series to General Motors’ assembly line in Latin America. To date, nearly 20,000 units have been supplied, with another 20,000 units expected to be shipped by the end of this year.
