Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Junior World Wrestling Championships continue in the Bulgarian city of Samokov, bringing another proud moment for Uzbekistan.

Uzbek wrestler Nigina Sobirova secured a bronze medal in the women’s 62 kg weight category.

Sobirova was defeated in the quarterfinals but took advantage of the opportunity to compete in the repechage rounds. Demonstrating strong determination, she first overcame a Kazakh opponent, and in the decisive bronze-medal match, confidently defeated a wrestler from Türkiye.

With this result, Nigina Sobirova joined the list of medalists at the World Championships, adding another achievement to Uzbekistan’s collection at this prestigious international tournament.
