Uzbek Delegation Visits High-Tech Companies at the “Technopolis Moscow” Special Economic Zone

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited enterprises within the Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) specializing in medical devices, advanced equipment, and industrial robotics, according to Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry Maksim Liksutov.

The visit to the “Pechatniki” site took place as part of the “Master of Public Administration for Leaders” educational program, implemented by the Higher School of Public Administration of the Presidential Academy (RANEPA). The event is part of the state program “Promoting International Development.”

“Under the guidance of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the city is actively expanding international cooperation. Collaboration with foreign partners enables the exchange of innovative technologies, best practices, and fosters industrial and transport sector partnerships. Enterprises at the Technopolis Moscow SEZ supply Uzbekistan with ultra-strong composite materials, bionic prostheses, emergency medical devices, sterilization and disinfection equipment, as well as educational products. Since its establishment, SEZ residents have exported goods totaling 8.3 billion rubles,” Maksim Liksutov noted.

Technopolis Moscow SEZ is a flagship of the capital’s industrial sector. More than 230 enterprises operate within the zone, producing pharmaceuticals, innovative medical devices and equipment, microelectronics, software, robotics systems, new materials, and other high-tech products.

Uzbek guests were briefed on the advantages of localizing production within the SEZ. Residents receive extensive tax incentives and benefits, along with developed infrastructure, including production facilities, laboratories, engineering systems, and public spaces. Special attention is given to the customs control area, which allows the import of components, equipment, and raw materials without paying duties or VAT.

During the visit, the delegation toured production facilities of the SEZ residents. At “Hirana+,” high-tech ventilators were demonstrated, including a pre-series turbine-type model that operates fully autonomously without connection to centralized oxygen sources or compressor systems.

At “Hematech,” the delegation saw the production of medical devices and accessories for stoma patients. The company has established its own research and technological base to develop next-generation products, allowing patients to maintain a normal and active lifestyle.

At “Technorad,” the delegation learned about the creation of robotic systems for industrial use. The resident plans to produce over 25,000 innovative products by 2030, with more than ten patents already registered.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to visit Technopolis Moscow and see high-tech enterprises firsthand. The products we observed reflect Russia’s high level of innovation. Industrial robots, devices for stoma patients, and ventilators demonstrate advanced technology and concern for human well-being. We are open to cooperation with Russian companies and exchange of experience, which will help achieve new heights in Uzbekistan–Russia economic relations,” emphasized Ervin Turgunov, Head of the Department for Attracting Investments from Russia and CIS Countries at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
