The Healthcare Department of Tomsk Oblast (Russia) has received an official letter of invitation from the Minister of Healthcare of Uzbekistan Feruz Nazirov to visit and familiarize with the healthcare system of the country.
During the visit it is envisaged to discuss a number of issues, particularly, concerning the preparation and training of healthcare specialists in one of the large regions of Uzbekistan – Kashkadarya, where over 2.5 million people reside.
The Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan plans to send 30 doctors of different areas of specialization to Tomsk for training for 1-1.5 month. All the expenses for training will be covered from the fund of the khokimiat (administration) of Kashkadarya region.
The application for the training of Uzbek doctors have already been sent to Siberia State Medical University. The Department of Healthcare of Tomsk Oblast has responded by expressing its interest in getting acquainted with the healthcare system of Uzbekistan.
