Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met in Tashkent with the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas.

The parties discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation and the expansion of regional ties.

Special attention was given to the upcoming first "Central Asia – EU" Summit in Samarkand, which diplomats believe will create new opportunities for strengthening productive relations between the regions.

The summit is scheduled to take place on 3–4 April 2024.
