Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan Coordinate Transit Corridor Development Plan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the relevant transport authorities of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan held online negotiations focused on creating favorable conditions to increase freight traffic along the "Uzbekistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan" corridor.
The meeting was initiated by the Center for Transport Studies as part of the implementation of Presidential Resolution No. PP-28 dated 27 January 2025, "On Measures for the Further Development of the Transport and Logistics System of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
During the meeting, the parties thoroughly reviewed the draft Joint Action Plan, which includes practical steps to develop the corridor and eliminate existing logistical constraints.
At the conclusion of the discussions, the participants reaffirmed the significance of the initiative and agreed to finalize the text of the document in order to proceed with the necessary domestic procedures for its approval and signing.
