Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan Toivo Klaar.

During the talks, the parties discussed cooperation in digital technologies, telecommunications, and several other areas.

Minister Shermatov spoke about ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at the rapid development of the IT sector, modernization of telecommunications networks, and tax incentives for foreign companies based in IT Park. Special attention was given to creating quality jobs for young people and increasing IT service exports.

Toivo Klaar praised the country’s achievements in recent years and expressed the EU’s readiness to continue cooperation and support initiatives in these areas.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to make effective use of existing opportunities, implement mutually beneficial projects, and elevate cooperation to a new level.
