Uzbekistan and GPIC Discuss Cooperation in the Chemical Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 August 2025, a meeting was held in Bahrain between Munira Aminova, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, and Abdulrahman Al-Mahmoud, Deputy Head of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).
The parties discussed prospects for strategic partnership within the framework of Uzbekistan’s National Program for the Development of the Chemical Industry. GPIC representatives expressed interest in implementing investment projects, noting the country’s favorable geographical location and potential in deep processing of raw materials.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to expand cooperation in agrochemicals, organize a visit of a GPIC delegation to Uzbekistan, and establish a joint working group to develop promising projects in detail.
