Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan strengthen strategic partnership in tourism
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 April 2025, a presentation showcasing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan took place in Almaty.
The event brought together key representatives from the tourism sectors of both countries, diplomats, experts, and business communities who discussed the prospects for tourism development, new areas of cooperation, and opportunities for promoting cultural and historical heritage.
In his opening speech, Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Bakhtiyor Ibrahimov, emphasized the importance of strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries, noting that Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage forms an essential foundation for the growth of international tourism.
Representatives from the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee highlighted the tourism opportunities in various regions of the country, focusing on the development of infrastructure, support for domestic tourism, and the creation of new tourism products aimed at the international market. Participants were shown a video featuring world-renowned landmarks in Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, as well as modern tourist infrastructure, and opportunities for eco-tourism and gastronomic tourism.
As part of the event, B2B meetings took place, where participants discussed the potential for joint tours, exchanged experiences, and established new partnership connections.
