Uzbekistan and Polish holding “Green Crops” discuss fruit and vegetable exports to Europe
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan held talks with the owner of the Polish holding Green Crops, Mateusz Rytel, and CEO Adam Ruzicki, the “Dunyo” information agency reports.
During the meeting, the Polish side presented the company’s activities, noting that the holding has established production facilities in 12 European countries. Representatives of Green Crops expressed readiness to expand trade relations with Uzbek partners, including supplies of fruits and vegetables grown in Uzbekistan not only to the Polish market but also to supermarket chains across Europe.
The parties discussed prospects for exporting Uzbek fruit and vegetable products to Poland and other European countries, as well as participation in trade fairs held in both states.
As a result of the talks, agreements were reached on a visit of Green Crops representatives to Uzbekistan, the company’s participation with its own stand at the Agro Expo Uzbekistan/Agrotech Expo international agricultural exhibition in Tashkent, and the joint implementation of other initiatives.
It was also highlighted that with the support of Uzbekistan’s Embassy, between May and October 2025, 120 students from the Tashkent State Agrarian University, Samarkand Institute of Agro-Innovations and Research, and Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology are undertaking paid internships at Green Crops and Krakow Agricultural University.
