Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 June 2025, Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bobir Islamov, held talks with a delegation led by Olivier Le Peuch, CEO of Schlumberger Oil and Gas Technologies B.V. Senior representatives of the ministry also took part in the meeting.

During the discussion, the parties explored prospects for expanding cooperation in the areas of drilling technologies, reservoir evaluation, production optimization, implementation of digital solutions, and training and upskilling of professionals working in the oil and gas sector.

Particular attention was given to issues of petroleum geology and hydrocarbon exploration.

The participants also exchanged views on the current operations of the joint-stock company Uzbekgeofizika and potential areas for collaboration in this domain.
