Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 June 2025, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Uzbekistan, Konstantin Obolensky.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation regarding Afghanistan, as well as issues related to the effective management of regional water resources. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of coordinating efforts within international initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development in the region.

Both parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further developing a constructive and sustainable dialogue between Uzbekistan and Switzerland.

At the conclusion of the talks, an agreement was reached to maintain regular contact and hold consultations on key issues on the regional agenda.
