Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ravshan Usmanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom, held a meeting with Charlotte Pierre, Deputy Political Director at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, “Dunyo” news agency reported.

During the talks, the British side was provided with detailed information on large-scale reforms and projects being implemented in various sectors under the “New Uzbekistan” strategy.

The parties exchanged views on the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation, placing special emphasis on enhancing political dialogue at the highest and senior levels, expanding inter-parliamentary contacts, diversifying trade, economic and investment ties, and strengthening cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and agreed on plans to further discuss specific measures aimed at realising the existing potential for cooperation in the outlined areas.
