Uzbekistan Delegation Holds Talks with Authorities of Primorsky Krai
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 June 2025, during a visit by a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan to Primorsky Krai, a series of substantive negotiations were held with the regional leadership.
The delegation was received by the Governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako, along with representatives of regional ministries and agencies.
The meetings focused on current issues related to strengthening Uzbek-Russian regional cooperation, particularly in the area of protecting the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens working in Primorsky Krai.
Special attention was given to launching pre-departure training programs for labor migrants, opening Russian training centers in Uzbekistan, and conducting joint outreach and preventive initiatives.
The delegation also held separate consultations with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of Primorsky Krai and the Agency for Migration Policy, during which an agreement was reached to continue coordinated efforts to ensure the legal and social protection of labor migrants.
On the same day, with the participation of Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, a meeting was held with Uzbek citizens working in the region. The open dialogue provided an opportunity to address pressing concerns raised by compatriots, who received clarifications and relevant recommendations in response.
