Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with a group of investors from the Republic of Belarus.

The parties discussed an innovative project aimed at establishing a Regenerative Medicine Center in Uzbekistan. The initiative envisions the development of advanced medical services in areas such as cell therapy, tissue engineering, biotechnology, and restorative medicine.

The Belarusian investors expressed their commitment to training highly qualified specialists, establishing modern laboratory and clinical infrastructure, and creating a specialized center that meets international standards.

Director Azizov emphasized that the project will make a significant contribution to the development of the country’s healthcare system. He noted that Uzbekistan has created favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment and implementing projects with the support of relevant government agencies.

As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to examine the practical implementation of the project in detail, prepare a feasibility study, and form a joint working group.

Once operational, the center is expected to become a leading institution in its field not only in Uzbekistan, but across Central Asia.
